EA’s 2010 NBA Jam revival made for a good excuse to do a feature on the franchise’s history, so I talked to ex-Midway developers, Acclaim’s former CEO, and others about NBA Jam’s rise and fall in the ’90s. Then EA showed off a bunch of modern prototype stuff and let us sit in on a focus group for the new game, giving a great look at how it was trying to do right by the original.
