When I started planning my Street Fighter book a few years ago, I thought it would be great if we could get three of the key people behind Street Fighter 2 to contribute. I wanted the lead artist to illustrate the cover, the lead designer to write the foreword, and the lead composer to write a theme song.
Well, one of them declined early on, and another agreed then later dropped out. But composer Yoko Shimomura came through. Then Read-Only Memory put the results on a white 7″ vinyl with a bonus song from former Capcom composer Harumi Fujita, who also appears in the book.
